Quiejel Pillow case by Tomasa Ventura
Rug hooking
16"x16"
This pillowcase is inspired by an old vintage huipil from Chichicastenango, a land where tradition remains alive in each huipil worn by women. Our elders always wore the same designs, and we continue this practice today. For us, the huipil is a symbol of identity through time, a way to carry our community with us wherever we go.
